PCC1 Final....until further notice.

Here is the final product for PCC1. I may still implement some minor tweaks, but I am pretty happy with the final outcome.

Current Progress 2 - PCC1

Here is the animation about 97% done. Still got a few minor tweaks but I am very happy with how it has turned out. Facial Animation is last on the list.

Current Progress - PCC1

So I'm getting close to the Halfway point of PCC1. I figured I had put off uploading a play-blast for to long so here it is. My current progress. It obviously has a lot of tweaking to go. The hands especially, but I haven't put the tie in yet so that will be one of the final steps. The jump is still mostly breakdowns but overall it is coming in pretty well.

Time Off, and Inspiration

So just posting to keep this as updated as possible. I just recently got back from Thanksgiving Break. Always good to take time off, and I enjoyed every minute of it. Over the break I was able to go see Tangled which was amazing. I was blown away by the animation. It was one of those movies where I walked out and was inspired to find the nearest computer with Maya and start animating. Either way I have come back revitalized and more inspired than ever. It is a great feeling to go into Maya with a fire to work, especially after seeing a movie or animation in general that truly reminds you of why you are here. Well I don't know why you may be where you are, but for an animation student at Full Sail aspiring to work in the current animation industry, It is a good feeling.

This month I am working on Asset 1 of 3 Assets for my demo reel. 1 Asset per month. Each challenges skill in different aspects of animation. This month I am working on action with a purpose. I will hopefully be updating this blog regularly with updates and play-blasts from work as I go. Anyway I hope everyone had I good Thanksgiving and I hope to post soon.

Ciao

APR Animation

This month I we were tasked with animating either a pitcher or batter for a small baseball short. We grouped into teams of two for the project. I was assisted by Tasha Carlson who is not an animator but still delivered an excellent final result. I was the animator for the pitcher. The rig was not the greatest but overall it sufficed for what was needed. I ended up pouring about 40 to 46 hours total into the animation and am pretty satisfied with the result. There are a couple things now that I keep watching the video back over and over again that I would probably tweak. It was a fun project regardless.

Old Stuff...

This was the first project I did for a Compositing class. All assets were pre-modeled which left the lighting, rendering and compositing up to me. The footage also had to be tracked before anything could be done. I tracked the scene and person in Syntheyes, then lit and prepared the scene in Maya. After rendering out several passes I comped the entire thing in Nuke. It was a very fun project to do and I will most definitely be trying something like this in the future.

Hello All,

Since starting school at Full Sail University life has been very busy. I decided recently that it was about time to start posting work, both old and new. Hopefully I will be able to keep putting up new work on a daily basis, but life does get pretty hectic so bare with me. Here is some Examples of Animation that I have worked on, sometime in the past few months.
